A |     124개국 1103명 학위 취득… 석·박사 고급 인력이 대다수KAIST·경희대 등 졸업생들 국내 주요 기업 및 대학 연구직으로1967년 후 161개국 2만여6명 지원… 글로벌 동문 네트워크 구축                     [파이낸셜뉴스] 정부 초청 외국인 장학생 가운데 삼성전자, HD현대중공업 등 국내 주요 기업에 취업하거나 국내 대학에서 연구를 이어가는 사례가 나왔다. 26일 교육부와 국립국제교육원에 따르면 '정부 초청 외국인 장학사업(GKS·Global Korea Scholarship)'을 통해 올해 8월 장학 기간을 마친 졸업생은 124개국 1103명이다. 학위별로는 석사 947명, 박사 110명, 학사·전문학사 46명이다. 이번 졸업생 가운데는 국내 기업 취업과 대학 연구직 진출, 모국 대학 강사직 제안 등 다양한 진로를 택한 사례가 포함됐다. 한국과학기술원(KAIST) 산업및시스템공학과에서 석사 학위를 받은 자히라 다나 라니 씨(인도네시아)는 삼성전자 DS(반도체)부문에 취업할 예정이다. 경희대 국어국문학과 석사를 마친 멍마이 바사완 씨(태국)는 HD현대중공업에 입사할 예정이다. 전남대 생물과학생명기술학과 박사 학위를 받은 피크리 옥타비아 씨(인도네시아)는 전남대 박사후연구원으로 채용될 예정이며, 연세대 치위생학과 박사 과정을 마친 프리스마사리 셉티카 씨(인도네시아)는 모국 명문대로부터 강사직을 제안받았다. GKS는 전 세계 우수 인재를 선발해 등록금, 항공료, 한국어 연수비, 학업 장려금 등을 지원하며 국내 학위 취득을 돕는 국가 대표 장학사업이다. GKS를 통해 1967년부터 올해까지 161개국에서 2만1406명을 지원했다. 교육부와 국립국제교육원은 오는 27일 경기 성남시 국립국제교육원에서 졸업생 약 170명이 참석하는 졸업 축하 행사를 연다. 정부는 동문 네트워크와 자료 기록관(아카이브)을 구축해 졸업생과의 연계를 지속해 나갈 계획이다.。    New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) India's indigenously built nuclear submarine INS Arihant on Friday carried out a successful launch of a Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) that hit the target with high accuracy.

"The missile was tested to a predetermined range and impacted the target area in the Bay of Bengal with very high accuracy. All operational and technological parameters of the weapon system have been validated," the Defence Ministry said.

"The successful user training launch of the SLBM by INS Arihant is significant to prove crew competency and validate the SSBN programme, a key element of India’s nuclear deterrence capability. A robust, survivable and assured retaliatory capability is in keeping with India’s policy to have ‘Credible Minimum Deterrence‘ that underpins its ‘No First Use’ commitment," the Ministry added.

INS Arihant is India's first indigenous nuclear submarine and the flagship of the Arihant-class of nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines that is based on the Russian Akula-1 class submarine.

The 6,000 tonne submarine was built under the Advanced Technology Vessel project at the Ship Building Centre in Visakhapatnam.
